Zip Wire at Xscape Castleford - Martin House Children's Hospice

During May 2024,  we had a great time working with Martin House Children's Hospice to host a thrilling 240-metre Zip Wire at Xscape in Castleford! Fundraisers launched from the top of the Xscape building, soaring over the car park before landing on our custom-built platform.

This incredible event, 'The Big Zip', saw over 200 participants complete the Zip Wire, raising over an astonishing £55,000 for Martin House Charity!

Martin House is a children's hospice that provides free, family-led hospice care for children and young people with life-limiting illnesses. This Zip Wire event was one of many fundraising initiatives for "THE BUILD," a £21.9 million project aiming to transform their current building into a modern, purpose-built facility with bespoke amenities like piped oxygen in each room and a hydrotherapy pool.

Maddie Massey, the charity’s Events Manager, said, "The Big Bang team was great! Each and every one of them was incredibly supportive of everyone taking part. It was a truly incredible experience. Thank you to all of them."
